Julia Urquhart

Julia Urquhart’s childhood was enriched with a diversity of cultures and travel. Born in Clydebank, Scotland, Julia spent her days daydreaming while walking in the Duntocher hills and the local parks. It was here that she developed her life-long attachment to nature.

Her teens were punctuated with traumatic experiences and the ordeal of coping with narcolepsy. Even during the darkest stops upon her journey through life, she never lost her relentless love of the beauty and complexity of nature. This thread runs throughout her work and is most evident in her mixed media pieces.

Julia has lived in various countries throughout Europe including England, France, Morocco, Spain and Portugal. Having sold over 1000 paintings, her work can be found in private and corporate collections across the globe. She has also participated in solo and joint exhibitions in Ireland, Australia, the USA and the UK.
