Jill Charuk

Jill is a true West Coaster, born and raised in Richmond, BC, a suburb of Vancouver. Educated in fashion design she spent two decades in creative work in the clothing industry and interior decorating before giving into her urge to paint. Over 40 years of colour training and sketching has led Jill to her bold, impressionistic style. Growing up on the grey and rainy coast instilled in her a need for brilliant and deeply saturated colours in her art. Her use of intense colour caused an immediate and positive reaction from her clients and collectors. Largely self-taught, Jill has attended numerous workshops in the lower mainland as well as in California, Oregon and Italy. Her work is featured in private and corporate collections in Europe, North American and Mexico.

Jill is currently working through a large series of lush and abundant bouquets. “There is nothing like filling the studio with a big bouquet on a grey day and creating a piece that will stay fresh all year.”
