Robert Creswell

Robert Creswell brings an energetic quality to his paintings. With his lyrical palette and sense of depth and spatial relationships, each painting evolves from the subtle layering of carefully chosen colors. He achieves this effect by using brushes to apply the paint, sculpting it, removing it, adding it back to the canvas and letting each work develop organically.

His well-trained eye for composition, color relationships, and classical training inform his own style, and reflect a harmonious and contemporary perspective.

Creswell’s work is found in homes across the United States and in Australia, has been featured in national and regional magazines, and is followed by art and design websites.

He has a BA in art history, as well as other non-art degrees and over seven years of periodic study at a museum school of art.
