Derek Harris

Derek Harris is an internationally recognized, award-winning photographer. He is inspired by the beauty and color of nature and he spends considerable time and attention to the lighting and form of his subjects. The impact of the finished product allows the viewer to feel that the familiar everyday object is being seen for the first time. Derek's work is revelatory in the truest sense, for his images, each of which are printed larger then life, compel us to look and study more closely than we normally would.

His highly acclaimed 'Flower Portraits' have been awarded four Royal Horticultural Society's Gold Medals. The medals for photographic and botanical excellence were awarded in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2006. His work is used in books, magazines, stationary and Open and Limited-Edition Prints. His Limited-Edition Prints appear in private collections throughout the UK, Europe, North America, Japan and Australia.
