Crystal Heath

Sitting amongst my paintings I am enticed by the desire to control, change and order. In learning to allow the critical chatter while at the same time giving myself space to find a being-ness where all thought falls away, I paint to a rhythm I know by heart. The work is sticking with it as I wander the labyrinth of the mind searching quiet corners, even though the zone is elusive it feels so much like home it will always be worth the quest. Through commitment to process and exploring the relationship of opposites I am finding access points that give voice to an unexpressed interior. In many ways I have only just begun.

Crystal currently lives on Vancouver Island in British Columbia with her two kids. Her passions include family, gardening, nature, vitality and possibility. In teaching painting she is committed to seeing people expand their self expression and skills.
