Julie Peterson

Julie is a self taught artist. She was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, USA. She began a love for art at age 7. She began her life time goal as a full time artist in 1996. Since then she has traveled to several states showing her artwork. She now resides in Moses Lake, but is seeking a new destination in Wenatchee soon. Since moving to the east side of the state she can truly see the beauty in landscapes; they are truly wonderful in the flat basin.

Some of her recent subjects include sky landscapes and horses. Horses has been a favorite subject to paint, it was horses that she, at seven, started to draw. She continually travels to discover new photos to reference for landscapes and her style is truly defined as Traditional Realism. Each piece of work has many hours devoted to layers of paint which gives each piece its intense rich brilliant color.

Challenge and new endeavors is what keeps her spirits high. The ability to be creative and share what she does with others is a great gift and honor for her and makes her very happy.
