Chris Scott

Chris Scott loves textures and patterns in both nature and from ethnic sources. Chris always has her camera with her and records these elements while hiking and exploring the local mountains and while traveling. She originally studied Graphic Design, but missed the direct contact with the “mess” and directness of paint and brushes. Painting in a variety of media and often incorporating collage, printed and hand printed papers, her designs are rich in textures and the brushwork gestural. Paintings are usually painted in sets which allows for the patterns to repeat and interact with each other.
